Who Am I In Christ

It is crucial that we understand who we are in Christ in order to live our life as God intended and achieve our goals. Also to walk in His plan and purpose for our life.

Our behaviour will begin to reflect our GOD GIVEN identity the more we agree with God about our identity in Christ.

I encourage you to learn to see yourself through God's eyes.

The only opinion that matters is God's!!!! Yes, only God’s!!!! Accept God's assessment of you, agree with Him that it is accurate, and grow into the spiritual being that you are. Being in agreement with God empowers us to walk in faith, newness, and confidence.

Understanding who we are in Christ provides a solid foundation on which to build our life. The key to a successful Christian life and a life lived ON purpose is knowing who we are in Jesus.

Your identity is unaffected by what you do or have done. Who God says you are is your true identity.

You become a new creation when you choose to follow Jesus; the old you dies and you become who you are in Him. Please stop living your life based on what other people say about you and instead embrace the truth of God's word. Find out what God has to say about you and AGREE with what He has to say. I think that’s the hard part sometimes, don’t you? Our minds are so focused on the old and the use to be. It becomes so hard for us to accept the new!!!

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" says 2 Corinthians 5:17. In the Bible, the word "new" is translated from two Greek words. The first, neos, denotes something that has recently been created, but there are already many others that are similar. In this verse, the word "new" is kainos, which means "something newly made that is unlike anything else in existence." We are made anew in Christ, just as God made the heavens and the earth out of nothing when He created them, and He does the same with us. He doesn't just clean up our old selves; He creates a completely new one. We are "partakers of the divine nature" when we are in Christ (2 Peter 1:4 KJV). In the person of His Holy Spirit, God Himself takes up residence in our hearts. Christ is in us, and we are in Him. Hallelujah!!!!

If we belong to Christ, we are united to Him and no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:5-6); we are made alive with Him (Ephesians 2:5); we are conformed to His image (Romans 8:29); we are free from condemnation and walking not in the flesh but in the Spirit (Romans 8:1); and we are a part of the body of Christ with other believers (Romans 8:1). (Romans 12:5). A new heart has been given to the believer (Ezekiel 11:19), and he or she has been blessed "with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 1:3). Look at all that we have in Christ. We make our boast in the Lord.

"Through Him who loved us, we are more than conquerors" (Romans 8:37) and can rejoice in our Savior, who makes all things possible (Philippians 4:13). We are loved, forgiven, and safe in Christ. We are adopted, justified, redeemed, reconciled, and chosen through Christ. We are victorious in Christ, full of joy and peace. He gives us true meaning in life. Christ is such a wonderful Savior.
