The Importance Of Having Mental Clarity
How many times have you set out to do something but you just really wasn’t sure or your mind was just really foggy? You just couldn’t seem to get clear directions. Well, I am learning that mental clarity, having all signals clear, is very important. Yet, I know that sometimes God tells us to move when nothing is clear!!
When it comes to setting goals, making decisions, creating our work life balance strategy we need clarity. We need to be clear about what we want and need. But we still have to acknowledge God in all of our ways so He can direct our paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
When you don't have mental clarity you can very easily begin to feel overwhelmed because it feels like you are scattered. When we are foggy we cannot see a clear path for the destination.
What Happens when our Signals are not Clear?
-
Frustration comes very quickly
-
It becomes very easy to give up on our vision/goal
-
Talk yourself right out of a thing
-
Push back on your assignments
Mental clarity is being clear, focused, not indecisive, not stressed, fearful, and plagued with doubt. This causes us to be double minded. We cannot receive from God that way.
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, He is double minded and unstable in all his ways. James 1:7
How Can having Clarity Empower You?
-
Helps you to plan and prioritize
-
Take action and move forward, because you know where you are going
-
Stay laser focused in spite of the challenges ahead
-
Walk in confidence
-
Become more productive and fruitful
God is our communication channel through it all. He said if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. So we must seek God for answers and directions.
Being intentional with keeping our signals clear will help us to flourish, grow and flow in life.
Three Tips on How to Practice Mental Clarity Regularly
-
Create a consistent routine- Keeps your mind in flow and step with what you need to do.
-
Write down the vision, goal, and make it plain- Keep in before you
-
Plan Plan Plan- Frees you from distraction. Your day and times are already scheduled out.
Sometimes we have to step back, and seek God to get clarity about many areas in our life.
This is very important to creating balance and flourishing in our life.
Blessings,
