Goal Push

Do you ever ask yourself sometimes if you are the hold up when it comes to your progress in different areas in your life? Am I in the way? A lot of times there are goals we would like to accomplish but we cannot seem to get off of the ground. It may be a health goal, career goal, academics and so on. You may even have a bucket list. A lot of times we find ourselves to be our own worst enemy. We sabotage ourselves before we even begin to pursue. It may be procrastination, or showing up in our behavior, negative self talk, and even our thinking that keeps us at a stand still.

Here are just a few tips that has helped me move forward. I wanted to share them with you. They may help you on your way, and get the ball rolling. It’s time to start checking some things off of your goals list.

  • ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD

Acknowledge the Lord in all of our ways and let Him direct our paths. He will give us insight, wisdom, strategy, and creativity in how to go about it. Proverbs 3:5

  • JUST STEP OUT

A lot of times it's insecurities, doubt and fear that stops us. Make that step of faith. You can’t climb the staircase if you don’t get to the first step.

  • TAKE ONE BIT AT A TIME

Take on one goal. Focus on completing that goal then move on to the next.

  • FAIL FORWARD

Don’t be afraid of failure or making mistakes. It most likely will happen. But we are just failing forward. It produces growth, strength and maturity. Builds character and other areas of our life as well. It’s a part of the flourish process.

  • BE CONSISTENT

This is the key to success. It keeps you moving in the direction of the goal. We are able to stay focused on the prize. It also keeps us disciplined.

  • YOU WILL IMPACT OTHERS

Someone is always watching you. As we just work our goals and vision we are leading by example. It will ignite and spark someone else to make a step. You are being a blessing to someone else by stepping out pursuing your goals.

  • DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF

Comparing will always make you think you are not good enough. You need to operate like someone else. Let God use you in being YOU! You are more than enough!!

  • BEING A PERFECTIONIST

Don’t worry about everything being 100 percent right. If it’s eighty percent move on it. Tweak as you go and as the Lord lead. The most important thing is that you are in pursuit!!

I hope these tips help you make that push towards your goals.

Have a Blessed & Balanced Day!!
